Victoria Hall

19 Burnside, Auchtermuchty, Fife KY14 7AJ

The Victoria Hall is a C listed building, dating from 1865, which was formerly a United Associate Chapel. Since the hall has turned to community entertainment use, it has been a cinema, dance hall and live performance music and theatre venue.

The hall is currently used for theatre performances, dances, birthday parties and exercise classes.

For the past nine years the hall has been the venue for a family ceilidh/dance at Hogmanay and for the past 32 years the home venue of Auchtermuchty Theatre Group.

The options appraisal project is looking at ways in which the Victoria Hall might be modernised.

The hall is equipped with a stage with wing space and two small dressing rooms.

It also has a full set of permanent theatre lights in place and sound system which is removed when not in use, both controlled from the balcony which overlooks the entire hall. These systems are owned by the local theatre group but are available to all groups who wish to use them upon request.

There is also a lockable bar area.

Tables and chairs are are stored in the hall and can be used for events.

The hall has limited disabled access and no disabled facilities.

125 for seated audience performances.

80 to 100 for dances and other events.
