History
Auchtermuchty Town Hall is a B listed building which dominates the central market place of the town. It was built around 1728 and is a two storey building with a central tower and a clock dating from 1897. The Town Hall is currently owned and managed by Fife Council.
Facilities
There are two rooms available for hire:
- The upper hall is a well presented moderate sized room with tables and chairs. The hall is suitable for committee meetings, AGMs, coffee mornings and evening events. There are kitchen facilities, including an electric hob and oven.
- The ground floor room has a table and chairs. Its windows are commonly used for advertising upcoming activities and events. It is also suitable for selling tickets for events.
Access
Access to the upper hall is via a flight of stairs at the front of the building, and there is no disabled access.
The ground floor room has disabled access via the library.
